Safeguarding

Safety guides every decision we make

Young people can only grow when they feel protected, respected and listened to. Our safeguarding team brings experience from education, family support and emergency services. They respond quickly, calmly and thoroughly, ensuring every concern is handled with care.

Our Safeguarding leads:

If you have a concern about a young person’s safety, you can contact our safeguarding team directly. All concerns are recorded and managed in line with statutory guidance and best practice.

Safeguarding Policy

Our policy outlines our full approach to safeguarding, including how we manage risk, work with external agencies and keep information safe and confidential.

How to Make a Referral

Our referral process is simple
and supportive.

Schools, local authorities and families can contact us to discuss a young
person who may benefit from one-to-one mentoring or time at our alternative provision site.

We start with a conversation to understand the young person’s current needs, any safeguarding considerations and what support feels realistic. Once due diligence is complete (for local authority referrals), we match them with a mentor whose personality, experience and strengths fit the young person’s world.

Referrals can be made for:

Children aged 6–16 through schools
Children aged 6–16 through local authorities
Young adults aged 16–25 through local authorities

We offer support across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, with capacity to travel further where needed.

For Young People

If you are wondering what support with Bespoke might feel like, this section is for you.

Bespoke Mentoring is a calm place to talk, try new things and slowly build confidence. You will have your own mentor who listens, understands and supports you at your pace. Some young people come to us because school feels stressful, routines are difficult or life feels heavy. Others want someone steady to talk to or help with everyday confidence.

You might spend time doing things like:

Going for walks or to the gym
Cooking, music or creative projects
Learning life skills
Quiet one-to-one conversations
Working on your future plans
Building routine and confidence

If you’re finding things tough right now, there are places online that can offer support, advice and someone to talk to. These websites are safe, confidential and created to help young people who need a bit of guidance or reassurance.

If you want to talk to someone from Bespoke Mentoring, we’re always here to listen.

For Commissioners & Local Authority

We work closely with local authorities across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Monmouthshire, with the flexibility to support beyond these areas. Our one-to-one mentoring is designed for young people who need patient, relationship-led support before they can re-engage with learning, training or independent living.

We provide:

  • One-to-one SEN/NEET mentoring for ages 6–16
  • Post-16 mentoring for young adults up to 25
  • Flexible staffing ratios based on risk and need
  • Careful mentor matching informed by lived experience
  • Ongoing communication and honest reporting
  • Access to upcoming AQA and BTEC pathways
  • A safeguarding structure that holds every young person safely

We aim to be a steady, reliable partner who helps you fill the space where usual interventions no longer feel possible.

For Parents
& Guardians

Supporting a young person through a difficult time can feel exhausting and isolating.

Bespoke Mentoring is here to help families feel reassured and supported. We take time to learn about your child, understand what life feels like for them and work gently to rebuild confidence and routine.

Parents often tell us they see their child becoming calmer, happier and more hopeful when we work with them. We keep communication clear and open, celebrate every bit of progress and make sure you always know who is supporting your child and how.

If you would like to talk through whether Bespoke Mentoring could help support your child, you are welcome to get in touch.
